Hands on History

Hands on History at the red doors community center is taught by Jen Backof. Children will explore topics and engage in activities in relations to American relations with the native Americans, what happened at Roanoke, talking about the colonial toys, games, and jobs. Students will compare how their lifestyles are different from our lifestyles today.

Tuesday Morning Adult pottery

Please register by March 11.   This class is for advanced ceramic artists only. There will be minimal instructions, and you need to be cleared by pottery studio manager to attend this class.    If you have any questions, please call the art league of Ocean City at 410-524-9433.

Little Hands on History

Sign your home-schooled child up for the little hands on history course for 3 to 5 year old children at the Red Doors Community Center. Young children will be able to explore colonial America through music, puzzles, games, toys, and imaginative play.

Wild Scientists Program

March 26 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am

This class covers a series of hands-on science experiments for home-schooled students. The springtime session adds three new classes to the curriculum and repeat the three most exciting classes from last spring.    If your home-schooled child is interested in learning about sharks, insects or rocketry, please join this class.   This course costs $30.

Introduction to Spanish (5+)

This course is designed to teach Spanish to children ages 5 and older. Students will continue to build upon Spanish concepts introduced in the winter session. Body parts, clothing, animals, days of the week, months of the year in addition to building fluency through stories and songs.

Lego Math

Sign up your child for a math course at The Red Doors Community Center. This program is designed for children ages five and older. Students will explore concepts pertaining to grouping, multiplication, fractions, equivalent fractions, graphing, lines of symmetry, and area/perimeter. This course cost $30.
